Balanced Hands ( BH )
A comprehensive approach to equal hand development for match grip style. A greater sense of freedom and execution are enhanced, issues of right side versus left side are dissolved, and the playing process realizes itself as one smooth, continuous motion.
BH endeavors to realize this through a consolidated series of materials presented in an elevated progression. The approach is both simplistic and practical given its attention to the pacing of the material, practice time, muscle development, technique and musical application. It makes for a more efficient and productive practice session. The concept is designed to develop both the dexterity and flexibility of and between the right and left hands, especially as it relates to match grip style.

Independent Sense
A process designed to achieve complete 4-Way Independence between the limbs.
This process is realized through an expanding format of uniquely designed patterns that integrate hands with feet and feet with hands, thus, developing both strength and muscular independence in the limbs.
The materials will, in turn, foster balance and evenness of sound (fluency in execution) between each of the limbs. It will also make for a more complete and fuller (overall) drum set sound. This acquired facility will become a natural part of you and your sound!

Equal Hand Development (Approaching Ambidexterity)
An approach designed to increase one’s overall hand strength, endurance and dexterity, thus developing a better sense of hand function. The approach will also help one to become more definite in executing and expressing one’s ideas at the drum set.
The approach is based on accent patterns (including foundation exercises) that are evenly distributed to work both the Right and Left Hands. The Left Hand will acquire the same level of proficiency that the Right Hand already demonstrates. At the same time, the Right Hand will become even more definite given this same approach and process. Eventually, one will eliminate the myth of the “WEAK” Left Hand. Executing with either hand will become a natural and normal part of one’s playing process.

Drum Patterns for Contemporary Rock Styles
Drum Patterns for Contemporary Rock Styles is designed to offer today’s drummer a better understanding of current rock trends including the playing styles of drummers, such as, Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl and Vinnie Colaiuta, as well as, World Music. This is achieved through the combination of patterns that integrate both, melodic and harmonic considerations for rock co-ordination.
The approach, given this new area of style development, is developed through a graduated series of patterns given the start-up series of basic patterns. Keep in mind that one is looking to develop as full a sound as possible.

Roll With It !
A Concentrated Approach to the Art of the Roll
ROLL WITH IT! has been written to give today’s drummer a better understanding of rolls and roll notation, in particular, the measured (double stroke) and orchestral rolls (buzz, multiple bounce).
The material is based on the analysis of each particular roll and its application to solo studies. As the material develops, combination roll studies, along with mixed meter roll studies, have been added for further development. A supplemental section for eighth-note (3/8) and half-note meters (2/2) have also been added to further develop the overall approach.
